The Flemington racecourse once more gathered record crowds for the “crown oaks day” with the racecourse transformed into an busy day at the races with 66,757 punters gracing the races. The Crown Oaks Day was the prefect day to celebrate the ultimate day of style at the 2013 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The New Zealand bred favourite, Kirramosa, ridden by Nash Rawiller for trainer John Sargent, put in a strong finish to win the prized $1million Group 1 Crown Oaks.

4. Gypsy Diamond
In a driving three-way finish, Kirramosa surged on the outside to defeat Zanbagh by a head, with Solicit a further short-half-head away on the inside in third position.
American singer Belinda Carlisle built momentum before the feature race performing her hit song Heaven is a Place on Earth in the Mounting Yard.
